Do I Take Deposits on a Ring for the Next Baby?
This is a question I got asked recently, and I totally understand why! Many moms who already have a keepsake piece from their breastfeeding journey start thinking ahead — especially if they plan to have another baby in the future. The idea of reserving a ring or setting for your next baby’s milk is such a sweet and thoughtful one.
However, the short answer is no, I don’t take deposits to hold a ring for a future baby.
Here’s why:
How It Works Instead
If you already know which ring design you’d love for your next keepsake, you’re absolutely welcome to purchase the ring now. I can safely hold on to it until you’re producing milk again after your next baby arrives.
That way, your setting is reserved, and we can create your keepsake when the time is right.
If Plans Change
Life doesn’t always go as planned, and sometimes another baby may not come, and that’s completely okay. In that case, your ring will never go to waste. I can still make it special and meaningful for you by customizing it with:
Milk from your first baby
A colored shimmer that represents your next chapter
Baby hair, cloth from a hospital blanket, or other sentimental inclusions
Your keepsake will still be uniquely yours — even if the story shifts a little.

Why I Don’t Take Deposits
The reason I don’t accept deposits for future keepsakes is simple: I want to protect both of us from any possible mix-ups.
Holding onto a deposit long-term can get tricky, money can accidentally get used, lost, or accounted for incorrectly over time. To avoid any confusion or stress down the road, I only accept payment when an actual purchase is made.
This ensures that everything stays organized, clear, and fair — and you get exactly what you’ve paid for when you’re ready.
Whether your keepsake is made from your first baby’s milk or saved for your next little one, it will always hold a beautiful story of love, nurture, and connection.
